Chef Jib is passionate about food. Being in the restaurant business for over 30+ years, he has worked almost every position of a restaurant: from the back of the house to the front, he’s been a busboy and back.
He derives his cooking from most of his mother’s recipes back in Thailand, adding a little twist to each. He has no formal cooking education, self-trained but most people can agree with a bite of his food that he’s onto something. Chef JIB comes from a small town 50 miles north of Bangkok. Anxious to see the world in all its culinary delight, JIB spent over a decade in Bangkok before traveling to Hong Kong, the Philippines and finally, California. From his mother’s recipes, he created THAI THIS in 1992.
Thai fresh fare with a wicked slight twist served here for the past 21 years. We also have the fullest full bar you have ever seen. Don’t just take my word for it, come on in and take a look. The owner is also an aspiring sommelier, check out the wine list that he has built up and has won the Wine Spectator award the last three years!
